TN Real Estate Commission

Created in 1951, The Tennessee Real Estate Commission licenses, registers and regulates real estate brokers and affiliate brokers, real estate firms, rental location agents, time-share salespersons and developments, vacation clubs and vacation lodging services.

The Commission also enacts rules addressing professional conduct and standards of practice.

The mission of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission is to protect the public through establishment and administration of minimum requirements for candidates and licensees, effective professional education of licensees and enforcement of professional conduct.

VA Real Estate Board

The Real Estate Board licenses salespersons, brokers, and firms representing others in property transactions. The Board also enforces Fair Housing Law in cases involving real estate licensees and their employees.

National Association of REALTORS

The National Association of REALTORS® was founded as the National Association of Real Estate Exchanges on May 12, 1908 in Chicago. With 120 founding members, 19 Boards, and one state association, the National Association of Real Estate Exchanges' objective was "to unite the real estate men of America for the purpose of effectively exerting a combined influence upon matters affecting real estate interests."

Tennessee REALTORS

Today we serve as the Voice for Real Estate in Tennessee to more than 36,000 members across 20 local REALTOR® associations—from Bristol in the east to Memphis in the west, from Clarksville up north to Chattanooga down south, and everywhere in-between.

From our headquarters in the heart of Music City, we provide a full range of member services and benefits, professional-development opportunities, legislative and regulatory advocacy, and timely communications to keep our members informed.

Virginia REALTORS

The Virginia REALTORS® association is the largest trade association in Virginia. We work on behalf of the real estate industry, allowing REALTORS® to help more Virginians buy, sell, and own property.

We represent more than 38,000 REALTORS® engaged in the residential and commercial real estate business. The Virginia REALTORS® association serves as an advocate for homeownership and homeowners and represents the interests of property owners in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our members go beyond licensure by joining our organization and pledging to a higher standard of education and service.
